Vocational Training & Resource Center (VTRC)
The Vocational Training & Resource Center (VTRC) is a State of Alaska authorized postsecondary institution that provides opportunities for training and career advancement through high quality, postsecondary academic and vocational education.
The VTRC offers a myriad of vocational courses and workshops including business management seminars, HAZWOPER certification, PTDI-certified Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) courses, flagger certification, and distance education courses.
The VTRC's computer training classroom is equipped with 15 computer workstations. The instructor employs Ziff-Davis Education's Active Learn and LearnPro techniques for all your computer training needs. In addition to the VTRC's regularly scheduled classes, custom classrooms are also offered. Computer classes offered include current Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Publisher, Visio Pro, and VBA), Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Although the Vocational Training & Resource Center focuses on training for all Alaska Natives/American Indian adults, it holds an open admissions policy for individuals of any race, creed, color, nationality or ethnic origin.
Additionally, the VTRC offers room rental space for all your workshops, conferences, seminars, meetings and events on a daily and/or multi-day basis.
